  • Vallejo – Mecha Color – Matt Varnish 200ml

    This formula acrylic colours with a matt finish, extra resistant and impact proof especially designed for airbrushing surfaces exposed to aggressive manipulation. The advanced formulation contains a revolutionary component which guarantees exceptional adherence on even the most difficult surfaces, and offers great resistance to rough handling, impact, friction, scratches, etc. Once dry, the Mecha surface looks the same as the original plastic of the model, while yet the smallest details of the original remain clearly visible. The colour range includes primers as well as special varnishes - also with an exclusive formulation- and a series of colours for aging and weathering effects.


    It is recommended to apply the Mecha colours in several layers on the previously primed surface; a few hours after application the colours will have dried to form a homogenous coating of extraordinary strength and resistance.
    Mecha Colour can be airbrushed directly or diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver, and the colours can also be applied by brush. The compressor adjustment recommended is 15 - 20 PSI o 0.5 to 1 kg. For best airbrush maintenance we recommend using the Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner.


    Mecha Colour is not flammable, and does not contain solvents.

All surfaces exposed to sun, wind and dust, rain and snow, experience a change in color, a loss of intensity, a dulling and general fading which however is not even or overall. For the model painter, these changes in color are very difficult to reproduce, and to achieve these effects on a model, washes or filters are the perfect solution. The washes are always needed to blend the edges of the colors on a model painted in various camouflage shades.   • Vallejo – Weathering Effects – Wet Effects 40ml

    When a vehicle drives through muddy terrain, mud splashes are inevitable. The range of Splash Mud has been formulated so that by simply blowing air through the airbrush over a brush loaded with mud, from a short distance from the model and on the specific area, realistic splash effects will be spattered all over the model. Splash Mud can also be applied using a stiff brush or stick. The range includes six different kinds of mud, manufactured with natural pigments and water-based acrylic resins, which drie to a slightly glossy finish which suggest the humid nature of the products. The product can also be splashed on the model with an airbrush by loading a regular brush with Splash Mud and projecting air against the brush towards the model.
